PROBLEM TWO: Changing times and prototype

STEAM the Museum is an exhibition that sees junior curators from the Opportunity Class at Sturt Public School solve a real problem that the Museum of the Riverina has.

These problems were shown to the class at our first session. Each student then elected their top three problems to work on, and was placed into a group.

Changing Times and Prototyping

Problem

The Museum would like to include an exhibit that shows changes over time, using objects from its collection. They would also like to include examples on the theme from current times. In addition, they would like you to build a prototype for how this might look in the future.

You will need to research your topic. Each object you display must have a written label for the public. You will also need to plan your display using plinths and stands.

Some ideas for themes:

Farm tools

Kitchen tools

Games children play

Sewing

Medicine/medical treatments
