PROBLEM THREE: Robots
STEAM the Museum is an exhibition that sees junior curators from the Opportunity Class at Sturt Public School solve a real problem that the Museum of the Riverina has.
These problems were shown to the class at our first session. Each student then elected their top three problems to work on, and was placed into a group.
Interpreting the Queen's visit with Robots
Problem
The Museum would like to include a large model of the town of Wagga Wagga at the time of the Queens visit in 1954, and have a small vehicle or robot to travel through the model to show her route through the city. The display also needs to include some of the photos and stories about her visit. It should also interpret the historical context of Australian identity in the 1950s and why people loved the Queen so much.
You will also need to consider the security of the display to make sure the robots are not damaged or stolen.
