Born at Coolamon, Reg Godde was a farmer but began making his models as a hobby in 1948. These were made from scratch without drawings and were constructed from surplus machines which he took apart, including an early fax machine. He carefully turned other parts on his workshop lathe. His intricate powered-chaffcutter even cut and bagged tiny pieces of chaff. He displayed his models at his farm and the Coolamon Show but they can now be seen at the Coolamon museum. Reg passed away at the age of 90 in 2013.
