Daryl Watkins has been involved in the apple industry all his life in his home town of Batlow. As a child on the family farm he helped to grade apples with this Lightning hand-operated apple sorting machine made by the Lightning Fruit Grader Co. of Melbourne from the 1920s to the 1950s. Watch Daryl demonstrating the machine and hear how growing and harvesting apples has changed over the years.
