Made in Wagga
In 2005, the Museum of the Riverina showcased a selection of significant items from our permanent collection in the exhibition Made in Wagga. This was the first major show developed in-house, since Wagga City Council took over the museum operation from the Wagga & District Historical Society in 1999.
Made in Wagga revealed stories of the city’s history, identities, industry, businesses and reputations that, when combined, showed why Wagga is such a unique place.
In this, a retrospective of our first exhibition, many of these stories are being told once again, alongside some objects which have never been displayed.
Made in Wagga Retrospective also features the exhibition Huthwaite’s The Friendly Store, which was developed from the book of the same name.
