WRAP
The Museum of the Riverina is pleased to host the Waste as Recycled Art Project (WRAP) display again this year. The display will be on show at the Museum's Historic Council Chambers site until 18 September.
Students from local primary schools were invited by Riverina Eastern Regional Orginisation of Councils (REROC) to participate in this years' event and create works of art from a selection of clean waste.
This annual event is now in its sixth year and has seen significant growth in student participation. The project aims to further develop the idea of reducing, reusing and recycling our waste to minimise pressure on our landfill sites.
Judging for this local display will take place on 15 September at 11am, Wagga Wagga. Works lucky enough to be chosen for the regional WRAP display will be on show in the Sturt Mall from 6-9 October. The winner of the regional display will be rewarded a box of Derwent Artists' Pencils and the winning school will receive an Art Workshop with a local artist to the value of $500.
