About the Artisan

Nestled on a few acres in the Riverina, Ashculme Textiles is the studio of Fiona Durman, a skilled weaver and textile artist. Since 2015, she has handwoven clothing and accessories using Australian Merino and alpaca yarn, dyeing threads naturally with Indigo, Madder, weld, and local eucalypt tannins.

Her work is entirely unique, inspired by the textures, patterns, and rhythms of nature, and created with a deep respect for the environment. The light-filled studio also hosts workshops and school visits, sharing a multi-generational passion for fibre art with the community.
