Along the Garden Path

Natural history, environment, agricultural history

Stroll along the garden path at our Botanic Gardens site and learn about the white box woodland that surrounds the museum. Explore the historic objects that have shaped the local landscape, from tractors to manual brick makers, and learn about ways we can build a more sustainable future at home.

Museum Scavenger Hunt

Culture and society, transport, leisure, domestic lives

Explore the museum galleries with our scavenger hunt. Students search for historic examples of everyday objects and discover how changes in technology, transport and domestic life have shaped the lives of people in Wagga Wagga.

Past and Present, educational history, immersive

Travel back in time to experience what school was like in the ‘olden days’. Inside our historic schoolhouse, students explore how children learned and played in the past and discover just how much kids’ lives have changed.

Civic Precinct and Exhibition Engagement

Experience a tailored session engaging with the latest temporary exhibition at the Historic Council Chambers.

Alternatively, Make a Day of It by combining your visit to our Historic Council Chambers Site with stops at the Art Gallery, Library and Civic Theatre!

The programs listed above are provided to schools at no charge.

We recommend that schools provide a minimum staff to student ratio of 1 staff member to every 15 students. If you are unable to meet this requirement please contact us to discuss.
