Local Legend - Nomination Form

The Local Legends category of the Sporting Hall of Fame celebrates individuals who have made a lasting contribution to sport in Wagga Wagga through significant achievement, leadership, or service.

Nominees may have served as players, coaches, managers, officials, or administrators. Selection is based on long and meritorious service, outstanding personal achievements, and their role in the growth and development of sport within the city.

In addition to sporting contributions, nominees will be assessed on their integrity, sportsmanship, and character.

Selection Criteria 1 *

Provide details of the nominee’s:

Long and meritorious service to their sport, including any significant achievements. Evidence of achievement arising from personal effort or initiative is essential, noting that long term service alone is not sufficient; and/or
Experience representing their sport in a support role, such as an administrator, coach, manager, official, or similar position, including any involvement with Australian junior, open, or senior representative teams (where applicable).

Describe how the nominee has contributed to the development of the sport within the local community or city, and how they are recognised as an integral part of its growth.

Provide evidence that this nomination is endorsed by the relevant local sporting association. Where no local association exists, endorsement from the appropriate state or national sporting body must be provided.
