COVID-19 Museum Updates
Our Historic Council Chambers site has now reopened. As per NSW Public Health Orders, strict social distancing and hygiene protocols are in place. Our Botanic Gardens site remains closed while redevelopment work continues.
Historic Council Chambers site: Now open
Our Historic Council Chambers site has reopened to the public. See Locations and Opening Times for more details to help plan your visit.
We have a number of measures in place to minimise risk of COVID-19 including:
- All visitors must sign in on entry, we'll keep your details on file for a minimum of 28 days to facilitate contract tracing if required.
- A hand sanitiser station is located at front door which is the sole entry/exit point.
- If you are unwell, please delay your visit.
- Visitors can enjoy our exhibitions as a walkthrough experience with no surface touching. One-way traffic flow is encouraged through the exhibition space.
- We are adhering to a strict 2 square metre per person capacity and appreciate your cooperation with our staff to maintain this limit.
Our Baylis Room exhibition space, hallways and toilets are publicly accessible; the Historic Council Chamber itself will be closed to the public. The Museum's retail offering and visitor surveys will also be unavailable until further notice.
We look forward to welcoming you soon. See our Exhibitions for what's currently on display. You'll also find a selection of objects from our collection.
Botanic Gardens site: Closed for redevelopment
Our Botanic Gardens is undergoing a major redevelopment. Project updates are available on Council's website, wagga.nsw.gov.au.
