Field Recording Workshop

Use high-tech equipment to record sounds all around us, and learn how to create and share soundscapes online.

Sound engineer and Regional Arts Fellow David Burraston will guide participants through Wagga's beautiful Botanic Gardens to capture the sounds of nature and people.

Participants will experiment  with acoustic and contact microphones, hydrophones and electromagnetic sensors. David will assist participants to edit and upload their own recordings to the internet, using supplied computers and editing software.

Where Museum of the Riverina's Botanic Gardens site,
Lord Baden Powell Drive.
(participants will be guided through the the Botanic Gardens during the workshop)
Age Range This workshop is suited for participants aged 10 and up (under 15s must be accompanied by an adult)
Prior Experience No prior experience is required
