Further information about the museum or town: The city of Griffith takes pride in its unique cultural diversity. A major annual event La Festa is held during Easter weekend to acknowledge its multicultural community. A large percentage of Griffith's community is of Italian decent. Griffith Pioneer Park Museum has recognised this with the development of the Italian Museum & Cultural Centre. This exhibition focuses on Italian migration to the area and the role the Italian community played in the development of the region. During August each year the Italian community coordinate Festa Della Salsicce held at Pioneer Park Museum. At this event prizes are awarded for the best local salami, presentation's are followed by food, wine and song, this is an excellent traditional function attended by over 800 people.

Major attraction to the museum:  The Bishop's Lodge has been a landmark in Hay since 1888 when work began on this official residence for the Anglican Bishop of the Riverina. This spectacular building is surrounding by an equally impressive garden including a heritage rose garden that  thrives in the dry climate of the Riverina.
Further information about the museum or town: Bishop's Lodge is one of 5 museums in the town of Hay. Bishop's Lodge organises a spring market on the 3rd Sunday in October.

Dunera Museum: Hay Internment and Prisoner of War Camps Interpretive Centre

Major attraction to the museum: Stories, photos and objects of 6,200 German, Austrian, Italian, Japanese and Australian civilian internees and Italian and Japanese Prisoners of War (POW) guarded by 600 members of the 16th Australian Garrison Battalion from 1940 to 1946.
Further information about the museum or town: The 'Dunera Boys', 1,984 German Jews and other refugees from Nazi occupied Europe, were the first internees of British Government WWII policy and arrived in Hay on 7th September 1940.

Further information about the museum or town: The gaol has been a place of incarceration for prisoners, prisoners of war, the insane, was the site of the Hay Instituition for Girls and has a history as a maternity home and hospital.The museum also has a heritage listed Aboriginal Bark Canoe on display.

Major attraction to the museum: The Australia Shearers' Hall of Fame.
Further information about the museum or town: Housed in a stunning architecturally designed building the Shear Outback site also features the Murray Downs Woolshed  from Murray Downs (near Swan Hill). This woolshed was dismantled piece by piece, numbered, and then reconstructed at Shear Outback and is used for shearing demonstrations. Also learn about the legends of shearing- test your stamina on the Shearers Challenge Bike to see you if you can keep up with a shearer doing a normal day's work

Major attraction to the museum: Half the Roundhouse is still used for commercial reconditioning and the rebuilding of locomotives. The other half operates as a museum opened in 1994 by a group of volunteers with a vision of keeping the town's rail story alive. It is an interactive Museum- you can climb aboard the engines and carriages and view the large model train.
Further information about the museum or town: When the Roundhouse was built, the 100 foot turntable was the largest in the Southern Hemisphere. It remains a working museum with a private operator working 5 days per week.

Major attraction to the museum: The Museum is home to the Doris Golder Gallery - a collection of unique portraits and landscapes using natural wool fibres. The museum has a display of old agricultural equipment with several rare tractors. The museum also has a dedicated exhibition telling the story of Brookong Station and the famous shearers' strike in 1888.
Further information about the museum or town: Lockhart is known as the Verandah Town -  restored verandahs, heritage pavers walk and many original buildings give the town centre a unique character.  When visiting you can also view a number of Spirit of the Land sculptures made from recycled agricultural equipment.
